I created this painting as I was visualizing success in my new career 10/2025. We used the elevator to get to our office.

I walked through Dillard’s the day I painted this, 10/12/25, and saw their purses. I used to have a gold purse I loved back when I was at a job I loved during 2016–2017. Then, I had a job change I wasn’t expecting in June 2017.

Just after that, I had a dream that two guys stole my gold purse. I haven’t wanted to use a purse since then. If I have used one, I've done it cautiously. As I was walking past the purses that day and saw the gold ones again, I thought about that dream. I had a distinct thought that the stolen purse was a specific purse and it was metaphorical. I did leave that profession, and at the time, it felt like it was stolen from me.

But now, that is done. It’s complete. I’ve moved on, I’m okay, and I’m excited for the future!
